How to Use Essential Oils
Once you start using essential oils, you will develop your own personal
ways of using them. Experiment with oils and find which ones work best for you.
The more you use them, the more you will want to share your results with others.
Here are a few suggestions to help you start.
Diffuse
Diffusers effectively vaporize and disperse essential oils directly into
the air suppressing unpleasant odors, destroying airborne bacteria,
promoting physical and mental health, and creating various moods within
your home, car or office. Keep them in your kitchen, study, bathroom,
bedroom, office, workshop, glove compartment, garage, pocket, purse, etc.
You will always be glad when they are just within reach. A diffuser consists
of an oil well, nebulizer (glass tube) and air pump
to disperse a micro-fine mist of oil into the air for the purpose of:
Purifying the air.
Creating a romatic mood.
Revitalizing or calming the mind and body.
Massage
By adding essential oils to your massage oil (We recommend V-6 Vegetable Mixing Oil)
base you recieve the best of an aromatherapy treatment. The skin is touched,
circulation is increased, and the essential oils are absorbed and inhaled.
- For massage, virtually all single oils and blends may be used.
- They all may be mixed with V-6 Mixing Oil.
- Use Raindrop Technique oils.
Perfume
Essential oils are the perfect alternative to synthetic fragrances without all the harsh chemicals that are usually tested on animals. Essential oils are pure and natural and by using a carrier oil you may apply directly to the skin and reap the therapeutic benefits along with the fragrance.
Bath
One of the most delightful ways of experiencing an aromatherapy treatment is in the bath!
I like adding 5-10 drops to the water just before getting in. Also, mix with Bath Gel Base as a dispersing agent. Relax while inhaling and absorbing the aromatic essential oils.
Inhalation
Simple -Carry your precious vial with you EVERYWHERE and open-up and whiff.
Skin Care

Essential oils are very beneficial for the skin as they are easily penetrated into the skin tissue helping and encouraging healthy cell developement. Add essential oils to a natural cleanser, toner, moisturizer, etc. to promote a healthy complexion.
The best place to begin is with a few oils that have a wide range of applications. This gives you a chance to experiment without having to spend a lot of money. The Essential 7 kit is a perfect way to do this.
Cautions
- Avoid putting oils into eyes or ears.
- Avoid using citrus oils, such as lemon, bergamot, tangerine, grapefruit and orange, when expeosed to direct sunlight.
- Avoid mixing blends as this may reduce effectiveness.
- Keep oils out of reach of small children.
- Keep oils away from direct sunlight and high heat.
- Discontinue using an oil if redness or irritation occurs.
- If you are pregnant or under a doctor's care,
consult your physician before using the oils.
Here's how Dr. Young puts it:
"As people become acquainted with essential oils, they always
say that there are so many oils and oil products that they don't
know where to start. So I put together what I call the
Essential 7,
which is a great way for anyone to begin to use and understand
the oils. All seven oils can be diffused, worn as perfume, applied
to the Vita Flex points on the feet, added to bath water, applied
on location or used with body and foot massage."
